EDUCATING THE EDUCATORS
We increase the appeal of construction to young people. We do this by promoting the industry as a career of choice by raising awareness around the vast career opportunities and pathways into the industry.
We engage and support schools in including construction as part of their curriculum, which includes:
We can come to your school/organisation to showcase the Construction Skills Village and promote construction as a career of choice.
The Construction Skills Village runs regular open days throughout the year (check out our What’s Happening page), but if these are not suitable we can arrange bespoke workshops on site for your school/organisation.
We have fantastic links to industry and we can call upon our partners to provide industry talks on specific elements your school/organisation is interested in!
To give some examples we have had the following industry talks take place:
HE Barnes on electrical installation
Henry Boot Construction on H&S and BIM
Hague UK on demolition
We have fantastic links to industry and we can call upon our partners to provide site visits and tours for small groups of people on both new build and regeneration projects.
If you have someone interested in construction send them our way! We can provide guidance and support to ensure they find the right career pathway for them.
We can arrange bespoke activities to suit your educational needs from Primary School to Higher Education establishments.
