As an educational establishment we are working proactively to ensure that learners and staff are kept up-to-date with the latest information and advice provided by the Government and the NHS.
The current advice is for us to remain open but this is changing daily and
we are updating our website and social media channels. We are committed to our
duty of care, and we will protect our staff and learners as our first
priority.
We have robust contingency plans in place to minimise the impact to learners
and our business should we have significant numbers of staff and/or learners
absent from site, or in the event of a closure.
The DfE have launched a new helpline to answer questions about COVID-19 related to education. Staff, parents and young people can contact the helpline by telephone 0800 046 8687 or email DfE.coronavirushelpline@education.gov.uk
What should I be doing about Coronavirus?
At the moment, the only action required is to be aware and follow some sensible precautions.
The symptoms of the virus are:
– a high temperature
– a new, continuous cough
If you have any symptoms, you should follow Government/NHS guidance and notify us as soon as possible. You may be advised to self-isolate (stay at home) for a period of time. You will need to keep us informed and contact your Trainers to organise work for you to complete at home.
Having the above symptoms does not necessarily mean that you have the virus – you should follow Government/NHS guidance. Be aware that the majority of people who get Coronavirus will make a full recovery. The main risk is to people who have other serious health issues or who are otherwise unwell.
More information is available on the NHS website:
https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/
or on the Government website:

In the meantime, everyone should adhere to our protective measures whilst onsite.
Furthermore, please read our Statement to see what control measures we have put in place.
